Chiropractic Associates of Alachua brings a combined 44 years of experience to each and every interaction with our patients. We started in 2001 with a vision to provide only the best chiropractic care in the area.

Not only do we provide this industry-leading chiropractic care, but we also offer a number of other services, such as massage therapy, exercise physiology and weight management coaching.

Our Doctors

Dr. Jason Powell (right) graduated from the University of Florida in 1994, and he attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas in 1997. He has been practicing chiropractic medicine ever since.

Dr. Marcus Richeson (left) is a Florida State alumnus and a graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia.

Our Team

In addition to Dr. Powell and Dr. Richeson, we have a wonderfully dynamic team ready to help you in any way we can:

  • Kristy Thornton (second to left) is our Office Manager. She holds us all together and makes sure we are all on track to help you as efficiently as possible.
  • Jamie Hester (middle) is our Office Coordination Specialist. She brings life to the office, making sure each and every patient’s experience is positive and memorable.
  • Shannon Jernigan (second to right) is our massage therapist. Her massages compliment the doctors’ adjustments to keep your spine and muscles in alignment.

What to Expect for Your First Visit

First things first

Paperwork. We know, we know… it’s not your favorite. But this way, we have the most accurate information about yourself and your condition.

We listen to you

Now that your paperwork is done, we take the time to listen to what you’re going through and go through a full consultation. This is the first step in creating a care plan that will best suit you for recovery.

We dive a little deeper

Once the consultation is done, we take the time to examine you so we can gain a better understanding of what’s contributing to your condition. We explain, in detail, what we find, and we present you with a comprehensive care plan to get you better.

We make a difference

Now that we’ve studied your condition and given you the treatment plan, many times, we start right away with an initial treatment. We continue to treat your condition until, and even after, you’ve made a full recovery.
